Position: Substance Abuse Counselor

Reports to: Director of Social Work

Job Summary:
The Substance Abuse Counselor will provide professional counseling services and support to individuals struggling with substance abuse disorders. The primary objective of this role is to help clients overcome addiction, develop coping mechanisms, and achieve long-term recovery. The Substance Abuse Counselor must possess exceptional communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills to effectively assess clients' needs, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing support.

Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' substance abuse history, mental health status, and treatment needs.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
2. Valid state licensure or certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (LADC, CADC, LCDC, or equivalent).
